Museum of the Abbey of St. Salvatore The Abbey of St Salvatore was built in the 11th century by the Benedictines of Montecassino, and the museum opened in 1993. The museum displays exhibitions of medieval archeology and displays religios furnishings, vestments and many items of interest. The museum sets out to educate the visitor of the monk's life with in the Abbey and the religious, economic and social function the Abbey had in the local community and surrounding areas.
