Florence Nightlife Florence is buzzing with life when the sun has set. Whether you are looking for a romantic night out, a film or some lively music there is something for everyone. There are plenty of nightclubs and lively bars most of them staying open through to 4am. A good Irish bar, the oldest in Florence, is the Fiddlers Elbow. They offer a warm and friendly service, a great atmosphere and of course Guiness!! For the trendiest and best nightclub in town head down to Universale, which is packed every Friday and Saturday night. If your looking for a quiet romantic evening try one of Florence's many restaurants. The Tuscan cuisine is delightful, ranging from 2" thick steaks to thick Tuscan bean soup. The concierge at your hotel should be able to recommend the best restaurants in town. If you want to catch a film whilst in town the Astro Cinema shows English speaking films every evening. In the summer open air opera is held in the Cascine Park.
