Lucca Festivals Lucca has three main festivals. Puccini Opera Festival This is held at the Torre del Lago near Lucca in July and has been held for most years since 1930. The festival hosts a selection of perfrmances from Puccini's most famous works. Lucca Summer Festival The summer festival of music features some of the top names in music and is held in the month of July. Palio de San Paolino Held in July this medieval festival celebrates Lucca's patron saint Paolino.
