National Museum of St Matthew - Pisa Museo Nazionale di San Matteo The National Museum Of St Matthew is located in the ancient convent of the nuns of Sasn Matteo, along the banks of the River Arno. The museum contains works dating between the 12th and 18th centuries including many fine sculptures and paintings. The is a good selection of many early Tuscan works. Artists that feature in the museum include Benozzo Gozzoli, Guido Reni and Roso Fiorentino. Another important aspect of the museum is the picture of Christ painted in the early 14th century.
