Pisa Shopping Pisa has many interesting centres for shopping, you can find a varied quality of Italian goods including souvenirs, high fashion stylish clothes, jewellery and assortment of sumptious foods. Along with the main shopping streets like the arcaded Borgo Stretto, the smaller back street shops offer a variety of goods of which locals frequent. The Corso Italia houses many of the high end fashion shops as well as a good mix of other shops. Shops are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 or 4 p.m. to 7:30 or 8 p.m., you may find that some shops vary slightly with shorter lunch breaks and ealier closing. Larger shops now tend to stay open all day. Pisa has several markets, offering a busy and bustling shopping atmosphere. The markets are the best place to visit if hunting for bargains. There are many varied stalls offering new, used and interesting goods. Piazza Vittirio Emanuele II This is a small farmers market which offers a variety of medieval flavours. Located next to the lawn by the tower you will also find an array of good quality souvenirs. Marina di Pisa Market This Marina di Pisa market has a variety of clothes both new and secondhand. This is also a good place to pick up knick knacks and accessories. Piazza delle Vettovaglie Located just off the Via Borgo Stretto, the Piazza delle Vettovaglie market is open daily from 7am to 1.30pm and is a very good food market. Via Buonarroti The market at Via Buonarroti is open every Wednesday and Saturday. It is a busy market that sells a good variety of items and clothes. Ponti di Mezzo If its antiques you are looking for the Ponti di Mezzo antiques market is held on the second weekend of every month.
