Prato Shopping Prato is the home of the textile industry for Italy. There are many textile factories and you will find a large selection of factory outlets, including Gucci and Prada, in the surrounding areas of Prato. Although Prato is an industrial town there is still a good selection of shops and boutiques, including handicrafts, antiques, clothing and gastronomy. Shops are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 or 4 p.m. to 7:30 or 8 p.m., you may find that some shops vary slightly with shorter lunch breaks and ealier closing.
